EXPERIENCE: I have been in private practice for over 15 years providing counseling and therapy to adults and adolescents for depression, anxiety, stress, relationship and marital issues. My employment background includes: outpatient therapy in community mental health; residential treatment therapist and case manager for severely mentally ill adults; therapist for foster care children and adolescents; in-home counseling for seniors. Currently, I have a private practice in Sarasota and I work part-time as an outpatient therapist for Manatee Glens, Bradenton, for adults with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
I'm from Chicago, where I had a private practice from 1997-2002. In August, 2002, I moved to Sarasota, where I have established a private practice on Washington Blvd. I provide individual and family counseling and psychotherapy for anxiety, stress, depression, relationship conflict, blended and step families, and lifestage changes and coaching. I specialize in grief and loss and adolescents with behavior and social issues. I am trained in crisis and trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
